Sigríður Sunna útskrifaðist vorið 2012 með BATP gráðu frá Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, af brúðuleikhús - og sviðshöfundabraut (e. puppetry & performance art). Áður nam hún almennar bókmenntir og leikhúsfræði við Háskóla Íslands og Universitá Karlova (BA) og textílhönnun við Skals School of Design and Crafts.
Hún hefur hannað leikmyndir, búninga og leikbrúður fyrir ýmsa leikhópa og leikhús síðustu ár.
Af verkefnum í Borgarleikhúsinu má nefna Tvískinnung, 1984 og Hamlet litla. Einnig hefur hún hannað fyrir Þjóðlekhúsið (ÖR, Meistarinn og Margaríta, Kópavogskrónika ofl.), Menningarfélag Akureyrar (Lísa í Undralandi), Íslenska Dansflokkinn (Óður og Flexa: Rafmagnað ævintýri) og í Tjarnarbíó (Íó, Gára Hengo og Það sem við gerum í einrúmi, SmartíLab).
Sunna stofnaði leikhópinn VaVaVoom í félagi við Söru Martí. Þær framleiddu sýningarnar Hands Up! sem hlaut Tallinn Treff Festival verðlaunin 2011 og Nýjustu fréttir sem var sýnd í Þjóðleikhúsinu og í Summerhall á Edinborgarhátíðinni 2013. Tónleikhúsverk þeirra WiDE SLUMBER var frumsýnt á Listahátíð í Reykjavík í lok maí 2014 og hlaut alþjóðlegu tónleikhúsverðlaunin Music Theatre NOW á þríæringnum 2015 í Hollandi.
Einnig hefur hún starfað með ýmsum öðrum leikhópum (Nordic Puppet Ambassadors, Nonesuch Theatre, Rainbow Collectors, Bakarí o.fl.) og komið fram á hátíðum hérlendis og erlendis (Copenhagen Puppet Festival, Turku International Puppet Festival, Tallin Treff Festival, TeatroToc Festival, Bialystok Puppet Festival, Jeudis í Centre Pompidou o.fl.).
Á meðal verkefna á leikárinu 2020-2021 má nefna Ástu í Þjóðleikhúsinu, Stúlkuna sem stöðvaði heiminn í Borgarleikhúsinu og Hominal / Manndýr í Tjarnarbíó.

ABOUT
Sigríður Sunna Reynisdóttir holds a BA in Theatre Studies (Puppetry and Performance Art) from London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, as well a BA in Comparative Literature and Theatre Studies from the University of Iceland and Prague’s Karlova Universita. Reynisdóttir also holds a diploma in Textiles and Crafts from Denmark's Skals Design og Handarbejdsskole.
Excelling in entrepreneurial and collaborative projects, Reynisdóttir’s touch as a creative producer is evident through the foundation of multiple inter-arts organizations. The latest, ÞYKJÓ, is a world of costumes, installations and adventures for children. She is also the co-founder and co-artistic director of VaVaVoom Theatre alongside Sara Martí. She co-founded and directed the Breiðholt Festival (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and Borgarnes International Puppet Festival (2011).
Sigga Sunna's study of the power and prowess embedded in her hands has given way to a body of boundary-defying work. She has worked extensively within set, costume, and puppet design for productions including 1984, Little Hamlet and Lóaboratoríum at Reykjavík City Theatre, Alice in Wonderland for MAk in Akureyri and more.
As an innovative puppeteer and performance artist, Reynisdóttir’s work has featured in numerous international festivals, including Reykjavík Arts Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Summerhall), Copenhagen Puppet Festival, Turku International Puppet Festival, Bialystok Puppet Festival, Tallinn Treff Festival, and Teatrotoc Festival. Her credits as a puppeteer, performer, and deviser include WIDE SLUMBER for Lepidopterists, Waiting Room, Breaking News, Three Weddings, The Adventures of Thunder and Coal, Gingerbread Man, With a Naked Eye, Promise of Touch, and Hands Up!
